The Youth of European Nationalities (YEN) is looking for participants for the E-Training “Think beyond borders”, part of the YEN’s Digital Summer.
In the next two months, we invite you to our activities under the motto “Think beyond borders”. Even when at home and not able to travel, we want to keep our network active and connected and reflect on the current situation as well as the challenges national, ethnic and linguistic minorities face.
OREHOVA POTICA Orehova potica (Walnut Roll) is the queen of the traditional slovenian cakes, prepared with light brioche dough and filled with a tasty walnut filling. It’s typical of the area of Kras/Carso – the area between Trst/Trieste and Gorica/Gorizia in northeastern Italy, but it’s also considered a national treasure in Slovenia.

Since we were not able to visit the Knivsberg for our Easter Seminar this year, the Deutsche minority in Denmark has shared with us their recipe for Egg Salad with curry. This spread is a classic at each lunch in southern Denmark and especially for Easter.
Back at the last Autumn Seminar “Gather up!” the idea of a YEN podcast came into life and was further developed during the project management course.
Today would mark the beginning of YEN’s Easter Seminar, our biggest event of the year with more than 80 participants arriving from over 20 different European countries.
We at YEN are very sorry that we are all going to miss this years Easter Seminar due to the Coronavirus. But hopefully you are all staying healthy and are taking good care of yourself.
Today we decided to cancel our Easter Seminar „Grenzland 2.0 – 100 years of best practice? Think beyond borders“. The Danish authorities have asked organisers of smaller events to assess the risk of infection themselves and act accordingly.
